Riots in Kenya....

Helicopters have been flown in today to help the many refugees that have been caught up in the growing violence.
The helicopters have been firing rubber bullets at a mob who were threatening members of the Luo tribe who were sheltering at a police post in Western Kenya. .
The disputes over the election have led to violence between the Luo tribe and the Kikuyu tribe who both backed different party leaders in the recent election.
The violence started on December 31st when Mwai Kibaki announced himself as the president and has escalated since. Many refugees have also been caught up in the violence as the two tribes go head to head. Police have been trying to halt the riots breaking out throughout Kenya and have been met with a lot of resistance from the Odinga party who believe that the government have turned Kenya into “killing fields of the innocent.”The total death toll approaches nearly 800 people with more then 250,000 not accounted for.
